But what if you could swing those odds in you favor a little? What if you could play with the spread and add or subtract points to give your picks a better chance to cover. This is were the 4-team teaser comes in. For those of you that don't know what a teaser is here is a quick definition.
The reason I like the 4-team teaser is because you get 13 points to play with. This is HUGE! Imagine teasing down a double digit favorite to a field goal or less. Or how about the 10 point favorite at home? They now turn into a 3 point home dog. Woof Woof!If you Apply the 13 points the right way you can create one sided mismatches that are almost laughable.
Every week I've placed at least one 4-team teaser in college football and have gone 5-1.
Take a look:
09-19-13 | CFB | Teaser Bet 1: ATS: Tigers -0.5 (-111) | WIN
09-21-13 | CFB | Teaser Bet 2: ATS: Gators -3.5 (-110) | WIN
09-21-13 | CFB | Teaser Bet 3: ATS: Fighting Irish +8.5 (-110) | WIN
09-21-13 | CFB | Teaser Bet 4: ATS: Tigers -4 (-110) | WIN |
The trick is to look for games that are complete mismatches. These games almost always have huge spreads to equal out the betting. But if you apply 13 points in your favor you have turned the tables on the bookies.
Here is my 4-team teaser for this week in college football:
Washington vs. AZ -9.5
TCU vs. SMU - 19
Miami vs. USF -19
Texas AM at Arkansas -14
Tease'em up and you have:
Washington at home +3.5
TCU at home -6
Miami at home -6
Texas A&M on the road -1
I like my chances...
