Thanks to the Houston "no fight left in them" Texans I went 2-1 yesterday. Not bad but I'm feeling the pain of the double-edged sword of betting money lines, reason being is that I did not follow my rules of making every bet .60 and bet 1.20 on both the Texans and the 49ers. As a result the bottom line was affected a little more than I would have liked.
No matter. Today is a new day. Below are my monthly stats and my record to date:
Key Statistics from September 28, 2013 through October 13, 2013
Number of bets placed: 64
Number of bets won: 35
Win percentage: 54.7%
Yesterday | 2 | 1 | 0 | 66.7% | -$0.5 |
Last Week | 19 | 17 | 0 | 52.8% | -$3.6 |
Last Month | 38 | 32 | 0 | 54.3% | -$3.17 |
Last 90 Days | 41 | 42 | 0 | 49.4% | -$15.18 |
Last Year | 391 | 356 | 14 | 52.3% | -$29.18 |
Lifetime | 1202 | 991 | 50 | 54.8% | -$59.97 |
Since I've started this blog I am 33-29 for a cool 53%. I know its a far cry from 60% but I'm still learning so I'll take it!
This month I promise to follow these rules:
Always bet .60
Less is more
With that said here are the picks:
NFL:
Colts (-1) @ Chargers. The Colts are a complete football team in my opinion. They are in the top 10 in completion percentage, 3rd down efficiency, turnover ratio, points allowed per game, and average rush yards per carry. The Chargers however give up a whopping 25.8 points per game and are -8 in turnovers. The only thing the Chargers have going for them is that they playing at home but the Colts are 2-0 on the road. Take the Colts with confidence.
MLB:
Cards (-114) @ Dodgers: This is series is about over. The Cards are starting Wainright who has been their ace all year against the Dodgers 3rd man Ryu. The pressure is entirely on the Dodgers and the Cards shut the door on this series. Take the Cards.
No NHL tonight...less is more!
Good luck all!
