My hockey pick did come through but since it was tied up in a parlay it was a loss.

NFL:
Seahawks (-5) @ Cards O/U 40.5: I like the Seahawks here. They are only giving up 15.7 points a game while gaining 4.6 yards per rush. The Cards are giving up 21.2 points a game and only gaining 3.8 yards per rush. The reason why I bring these two stats up is that clearly the Cards won't be running the ball since Seattle's defense is stout and more than likely, like all season, the Cards will be playing from behind. So let's dig a little deeper. Seattle's pass defense is ranked 2nd in passing yards given up. I really don't see the Cards being able to move the ball at all especially with a gimpy Fitzgerald. Seattle will run the ball, 70% of the time and only pass when they have to. Defense will rule the game.
Seattle covers and so does the under.
CFB:
Miami (-9.5) @ North Carolina: The Hurricanes are legit this year. They beat a good Florida team and are looking to stay perfect in the ACC and on the season. They do travel to a hostile environment and NC is pretty desperate for a win. This will come down to talent and athleticism in the second half and Miami has more of both.
I'm going to parlay Seattle (-5) with the ML in this game at (-369) for a return of (+123)
MLB:
You already know I'm going with my Sox at (+103)
NHL:
Toronto (-146) at home vs. Carolina: Toronto, leading their conference right now with 12 points and a +11 difference, is playing good hockey right now as Carolina with only 7 points and a -6 difference is struggling.
Vancouver (-148) @ Buffalo: We all know Buffalo is terrible right now and I just don't see them winning two in a row. This is more of a bet against Buffalo then for Vancouver.
Islanders (-150) at home vs. Oilers: The Islanders are sneaky good with a +2 difference while the Oilers are just plain bad with a -11 difference.
Pittsburgh (-162) @ Philadelphia: The Penguins are one of the top teams in hockey playing one of the worst. This is an easy call.
Boston (-173) @ Florida: See above.
San Jose (-164) @ Dallas: See above.
