Hello everyone. Are you as excited as I am about a 8-3 record last night! Would have been 8-1 if I hadn't added on those two games. When will I learn?
No matter. We have a full plate today so let's get right to it...
CFB:
What would a Saturday be without a 4 team teaser?
Iowa -1.5 @ Purdue: Iowa is playing for bowl eligibility and Purdue stinks.
Missouri -1 @ Kentucky: The Tigers are better and still looking to win the SEC East.
Miss. St @ Texas AM -6: Look for Texas AM to play a complete game and hold MSU to 21 points.
Kansas @ Oklahoma St OVER (39): Cowboys cover this on their own.
W. Kentucky (-6) @ Army: Army is undersized and banged up on defense. This doesn't bode well for a W. Kentucky team that ranks 37th in rushing yards. The option isn't new to the Hilltoppers defense either as they did a nice job containing it in their win against Navy.
BYU @ Wisconsin (-299): This game will be a close one but the Badgers ground and pound style of play will prevail.
ASU (-276) @ Utah: The Sun Devils are playing complete football right now as their defense is finding themselves. They proved they can win on the road and should pull away in the fourth against a over matched Utah team.
Notre Dame (-178) @ Pitt: This game is on upset alert and it will be back and fourth but the Irish showed last week and in the game against USC that it can win the close ones. Pitt's season on the other hand has gone off the rails losing their last 2 games and not being able to find an identity on offense.
LSU @ Alabama OVER (55): We have seen the SEC turn into an offensive league and these two teams are no different. Bama is the heavy favorite but the Tigers can match up with anyone in the country. Look for a lot of offense in the second half with the potential for overtime. I think Bama wins but does not cover.
NBA:
Pacers @ Nets UNDER (187): Both teams played last night and must travel. This is the lowest under on the board as well.
Jazz @ Raptors UNDER (188.5): See above.
CBB:
Charleston @ Louisville (-21): Expectations are high in Louisville this year as Rick Pitino looks to repeat. Some of the top programs struggled out of the gate yesterday in their first games, but I see the Cards being focused from the opening tip and cover the 21 in the second half.
Manhattan @ La Salle (-5.5): La Salle is looking to repeat its run to the Sweet 16 with three returning starters and exceptional guard play that can flat out score. The Jaspers will be out-matched in this game not being able to keep up with the scoring as they only averaged a little over 50 last year.
Eastern Illinois @ Northwestern (-13): The Wildcats traded in their Princeton offense with their hire of new coach and Illinois native Chris Collins. Collins has the personnel to run a more up tempo style of play and the Panthers who ranked 339 in defending the 3 point just won't be able to keep up.
The Lowest Under: ATS: (5-2)
Hit again...playing both unders tonight.
Fading Houston: ATS: (3-2-1)
They are favored by 3.5 at home against the Clippers. My feeling is that the Clippers cover.
Shading New Orleans: ATS (3-3)
Won by 11 last night against the mighty Lakers.
Shading Detroit: ATS (3-2)
As expected they failed to cover at home vs the Thunder.
Good Luck Everyone!
