Today's Line - Regression Part II

Looks like I'm still regressing going 6-9 the past three days. College ball killed me last night and I went 2-2 in the NBA. What kills me is that my teaser picks all covered on their own. I made the mistake of picking a crappy team in the Hawks. Also it looks like the Knicks have figured out how to play with what they have with Bargnani and Stoudemire contributing nicely. Fading the Knicks may be a thing of the past. With that said my NBA picks will come later as this post focuses on NFL and a couple of juicy CBB picks.

CBB:

Syracuse (-4.5) @ St. Johns: The Cuse brings their stifling zone defense to MSG in an old Big East clash. The Cuse is no stranger to MSG and will play focused. It's clear that St John's does not have the talent to match up with Syracuse since their two loses were against decent teams (Wisconsin and Penn State). Cuse roll.

Western Michigan @ Missouri (-14.5): I had the pleasure seeing Western Michigan playing in person as they got crushed by Northeastern. They are terrible only scoring 35 points and losing by 16. They will get absolutely crushed by the Tigers.

NFL:

49ers (-4.5) @ Bucs: Yes it's a long road trip but it's not like the 49ers have never traveled before. Yes they just played Seattle and won and teams coming off of playing Seattle are not that good ATS. But the talent level is just too great. The 49ers offense is clicking now that Crabtree is back and their defense is getting healthy. I see the 49ers pitch a shutout in the second half and win by a TD.

Seahawks (-349) @ Giants: See above. Talent level is to great and the Hawks need to recoop that loss to the 49ers.

Bears (-1) @ Browns: Cutler is back and that does not bode well for the Browns giving up 25 points a game. The Bears showed what it can do on defense Monday night and the Browns offense isn't nearly as dynamic as the Cowboys. Bears take a step closer to the playoffs today.

Texans @ Colts (-217): If the Colts want to make the playoffs they MUST win this game.

Texans @ Colts OVER (45.5) We saw how poorly both teams defense is last week. The Colts are giving up 24.3 PPG and the Texans are allowing 27 PPG. Simple math peeps.

Eagles (-277) @ Vikings: A hobbled AD isn't good news for the run heavy Vikings. This allows the Eagles to defend the entire field which is a good thing. The Vikings giving up 30 points a game helps the Eagles cause as well. Eagles get out of Minny with a win.

Chiefs (-4.5) @ Raiders: The Chiefs are playing for a playoff spot. The Raiders are trying not to lose too badly each game. Chiefs roll.

2 team teaser:

Bengals (+4.5) @ Steelers and the OVER (36): Bengals can clinch the AFC North with a win and a Ravens loss today. Look for the Bengals to come out with focus and win a close one on the road.
