NBA:
76ers (+7) @ Bobcats: At first this spread seamed about right to me but after careful analysis I found that for one the 76ers average about 12 more possessions than the Bobcats which translates to about 9 more opportunities to score. Secondly the Bobcats are averaging 88.8 PPG versus the 76ers averaging 104. The more I looked into this game the more the spread didn't make sense. So I grabbed the points!
Nuggets (-4) @ Celtics: Boston has been playing well no doubt but if you look at their wins closely you will see there aren't a lot of quality teams that they have beat. The most impressive one is the Heat and that was on a last second shot. Denver is a quality team that will want to get back on track after a bad loss to the Jazz. Nuggets cover easily.
Thunder @ Pelicans OVER (204): Look for both teams to score a ton of points. Both of these teams live on points in transition ranking third and second in the league respectively and the Pelicans have become more of a shoot first type of team now that Davis is out and Ryan Anderson is starting.I see a lot of points in this one.
Lakers (+4) @ Kings: The Lakers keep getting points and I keep taking them. The Kings are a mess without Boogie as he is hobble with a sprained ankle and the Lakers are 9-6-1 as a dog.
Jazz @ Blazers (-784): Can't go broke by making a profit. Spread is too high for me.
CBB:
ASU (-164) @ DePaul: The Sun Devils are looking to rebound from their poor showing at the Wooden Legacy tournament and have had a few days off. DePaul won't know what hit them as ASU is more talented across all positions.
Kentucky (-202) @ Baylor: The Wildcats hit the road to play a Baylor team that is just good enough to get their coach fired, meaning they are talented enough to set expectations high but not talented enough to meet them. Kentucky on the other hand is both and they win a close one.
Good Luck All!
