On to Saturday...
Per usual I have a full card of games today, and will add a few later as the lines move hopefully in my favor...
Going to break down a few here...
Wake Forest (-6) at Army: Not a big fan of laying points on the road but Wake should be able to take care of business.
South Florida (+7) at Maryland: Not impressed the Terps at all as they couldn't get it done against Bowling Green. USF has got some athletes and should be able to get this game into the 4th quarter.
Kent St (+24.5) at Minnesota: Here we have a dog with a low total (46). The Gophers are all about running the ball and playing defense. I don't see a lot of scoring in this game as the Gophers are in a let down spot here.
Memphis at Bowling Green (+3): I locked in 3 yesterday and bought more today because I like this game so much. The Falcons are a very good team as we saw scoring 30 on Tennessee and beating Maryland outright. Memphis is 2-0 but they travel again and will have their hands full on both sides of the ball.
Temple at UMass (+14): UMass let me down last week as they let the 2nd half of the Colorado game get away from them last week. Make no mistake the Minuteman are a good team and will be in this game to the end.
E. Carolina (+4.5) at Navy: We saw how the Pirates were able to hang with the Gators last week, as long as they can get past that loss and focus on the road I like them in this spot getting points.
Auburn (+7) at LSU: LSU can't pass the ball. Their inexperience at QB will hurt them in this game as Auburn will make LSU throw the ball to beat them. Auburn can put themselves in the driver's seat here with a win so I'll take the points any day.
V. Tech at Purdue (+7): Tech is without their starting QB and I'm not putting any stock in their win last week against Furman. Since 2013 Tech is 1-5 ATS as a road favorite and 3-12 as a favorite overall. I like the Boilermakers at home getting points in a game with a low total (49).
Georgia Tech at Notre Dame (+3): I know the Irish are banged up and everyone has written them off this year and so have I, after this game. The Irish are in a good spot here as they can rally around each other for a home game against a team where if you are disciplined on defense, which the Irish are, can be stopped. I see this one coming down to the final minute and the Irish have a Rudy moment for the win.
South Carolina (+17) at Georgia: This spread is an over reaction to South Carolina's loss to Kentucky and Georgia's (unimpressive to me) 2-0 record. Georgia covered only three of its 12 meetings with Steve Spurrier-coached Florida teams, and has managed only two covers in 10 tries since the Head Ball Coach arrived in Columbia. Love getting 17 here.
Texas Tech at Arkansas (-11): The loss to Toledo doesn't scare me. Toledo will probably win the MAC and their bowl game. Arkansas can still win the SEC West and go to Atlanta so I can't imagine there will be any hangover from last week. They have a team coming in that they should dominate at home for a night game. I see the Razorbacks exercising some demons here by running up the score on the Raiders.
Florida (-168) at Kentucky: I was late on this one and the line moved to 3.5. Even though it was cheaper buying the hook I went ahead and took the money line so I can just root for the win. I think the Wildcats are in a let down spot coming off their win against the Gamecocks and Florida got ripped by their coach on their lackluster performance last week. I see Florida coming out focused and finishing this one.
Utah at Fresno St (+14): Utah has to travel with a back up QB. I like Fresno getting 14 here.
I have my eye on Stanford, Ole Miss and Pitt but waiting to see if I can get a better number. I have a feeling these will move in my favor as folks load up on favorites to try to salvage their day.
