Today's Line - I'm Pissed

2-3 with a loss of $0.21 and I've about had it. All of a sudden Edwin Jackson is an ace? Cole Hammels gives up more runs than he has in almost a month, and the Red Sox couldn't get but one run with a very favorable over ump at the plate?

This has just been a ugly couple of weeks. so I'm going to do something a little different today. Kinda like shuffling the batting order. Low risk high reward kinda thing.

My first play is for a half a unit on the Twins at +129. The Twins of been killing it at the plate in this series as the Indian starters have been struggling. Today The Tribe roll out Clevinger with a sparkling 8.79 ERA. The Twins counter with Santiago who has been up and down all year but a better quality pitcher than Clevinger. With a high total of 9.5 I like the plus money.

My next play is the Cars/Reds OVER at 9. The home plate ump is 12-8 on over/unders and there are two underwhelming starting pitchers. The Cardinals are always a threat to score a lot of runs and since they are playing on the short porch in Cincinnati I think 9 runs is within reach. Finally this is a bonus cash play.

Next is another total and my favorite of the day Pitt/Braves OVER 9. The Pirates and the Braves square off with two pitchers who are suspect at best.The home plate ump is 13-6 on over/unders and favors the home team as well. I see this game playing out with the Braves getting a couple early off of Vogelsong and the Pirates getting the rest off of Jenkins. This is a three unit play of bonus cash.

Finally a rare under in the Jays/Astros of 8. The Astros are in a bad scoring slump in this series scoring a total of 4 runs so far and the Jays flat out don't score on the road going 17-29 in over/unders. The home plate ump is 6-12 on over/unders as well. Finally there are two decent pitchers on the mound tonight. All of this should add up to 7 runs or less and good for a one unit bonus cash play.
