Three takes...
The situation with the Chicago Bulls is downright disgusting for Bulls fans. Dumpster fire doesn't even come close to describing it. I've slammed the Bulls all year for being outmatched on and off the court and now they are outmatched in the locker room as well. Wade and Butler have a point and so does Rondo. All of them chose to express it in the wrong manner. Media. Wade and Butler should have addressed the team privately. Rondo is a veteran now and a champion and knows what it takes to win. He needs to be a leader instead of complaining about the leadership in the Bulls locker room. Rondo is done in Chicago...I hear the Cavs are looking for a PG.
Which brings me to the Cavs. You know I love LeBron and the way to fix the Cavs issue is to make a commitment to defense and 40 minutes of basketball not more players. However, LeBron has a point. The Cavs have a open roster spot and need a point guard. The Korver trade freed up cap room; why haven't the Cavs gotten a point guard? If you can afford it why not spend more to make your team better?
Doesn't Coach K's decision to ban the players from wearing Duke apparel seam a bit contrived and desperate? It sounds like Coach K feels he needs to do something because he is not coaching them right now due to recovering from back surgery. I'm no coach but if you aren't seeing the type of effort you want to see from some players, bench them and tell them why. Handle this at practice by doing hustle and defensive drills. Run them ragged. It also feels like an overreaction. So they lost a couple of games, one on the road to one of the better defensive teams in the league without one of your star players. Another loss to a team that has one of the top point guards in the league; it's going to be okay Duke. It's a long season and there are very winnable games on the schedule. Just regroup and play hard at Wake Forrest. Which by the way I will be backing Duke even though they will be on the road.
...and I'm out.
