I want to quickly breakdown the CFB loses in hopes to learn something from them.
Nebraska ML. I wish I had an explanation on this one. It all pointed to a Nebraska win coming off a loss and playing at home. Two pick 6's put the Huskers in a hole but they did have the lead but the defense got worked on the ensuing drive by NIU. I'm still calling for the HC job because IMO it looked like they gave up. The only lesson here is that I used Nebraska in more than one bet.
CMU +10: Coming in I felt pretty good about CMU's chances and they got up early in the game but then got steamrolled in the second half. Lesson here is don't bet on crappy teams for the entire game.
SMU +19.5: This one lost by a half a point. Lesson here is the same one as above and the fact that the number opened at 20 so I should have bought the extra half point to save myself a loss. I also got this pick from reading an article by an ESPN "expert". Need to stop that shit.
Tulane +35.5: See above. Don't bet on crappy teams on the road and stop taking other people's advice.
LSU ML: This one was a bit shocking. LSU is a better team than this and I think they got blind sided since they loaded up on cupcakes before their first true road test. Road teams did me in again.
S. Carolina ML: Shocked at this one too. All they had to do was beat Kentucky at home. I understand that this was the first time they played as a favorite, not sure if that really is a factor to these kids.
Stanford -8.5: This one is on me. I had no idea SDSU was waiting years to play this game. I should have done more research.
Ole Miss/Cal Over: I think this one surprised everyone since all the reading I was doing pointed to a shootout. Odd game.
In short don't bet on road teams for the entire game and stop taking other people's advice.
