In doing so I got my CFP for the year at 72-67 (52%) up 12.42 units. However my ROI is only 1.27% because of the units risked. This among other things is something I have learned this year. The other big lesson for me is that totals are not as easy for me as other cappers and I'm okay with that.
Check out my CapperTek page for tonight's picks.
Here is what else I learned in CFB week to week.
Week 1: Never judge a book by it's cover. See Florida, Texas, and Tennessee.
Week 2: Don't lay more than 28 points. Alabama was -44 vs. Fresno St.
Week 3: It's very hard to win much less cover on the road. See LSU loss to Miss St. Frauds begin to show their true colors see Nebraska.
Week 4: Conference play begins for everyone. Tread lightly. See Oklahoma vs Baylor; Penn St vs. Iowa
Week 5: If the situation fits bet it. See WSU hosting USC. Watch out for teams looking ahead. See LSU's loss to Troy. Remember it's not even October yet.
Week 6: Don't believe the hype...yet. See Oklahoma's loss to Iowa St. Alabama Auburn, and Clemson all failed to cover big numbers and Michigan was handed their first loss at home.
Week 7: Just when you thought you had it figured out. Clemson loses, Washington loses, Auburn loses, Miami and Oklahoma barley win. Don't go crazy, stay the course one unit at a time.
Week 8: Pound the frauds. Bama covers 36 at Tennessee. TCU crushes Kansas, Notre Dame crushes USC, VT crushes UNC, Miss ST crushes Kentucky.
Week 9: Continue to pound frauds. See Penn St Ohio St, Florida Georgia, Duke at VT, Texas Tech at Oklahoma.
Week 10: Emotional letdowns are real as ever Ohio St and Penn St both losing. Fade the good teams; Georgia fails to cover, Clemson fails to cover, Bama fails to cover.
Week 11: Forget "must win" games. MSU got crushed when they had to win to win the Big 10. Notre Dame gets crushed when they "had to win" to stay in the playoff race. Take good teams at home.
Week 12: Late in the season watch out for big spreads and second half letdowns. See Penn St and Georgia Tech. Don't force anything.
Week 13: Rivalry week. Be careful. Bama loses, and Notre Dame loses both on the road.
Week 14: Conference championship week. You made it! Theses are usually easy to peg as Clemson, Oklahoma, and Georgia (revenge game) won easily. Time to go bowling!
Good Luck All!
